Day 317 A visit to the clinic

    Today i visited the clinic, as i was lucky enough to get an appointment at such short notice. First of all, i saw a consultant which i saw in February who  already knew of my concern, about the pain in my upper right side of my jaw, but it has become more frequent.

   I had an x-ray taken to see if there is anything wrong inside, but the bone structure and wisdom teeth extractions have healed nicely. I saw my new orthodontist, due to my original ortho leaving who believed it is due to the plate on the right side. I was then able to see my surgeon who showed me my x-rays and felt the area where the plates are. He said there is no obvious sign of infection, but because it keeps causing me discomfort i can have it removed. My mum and him were trying to be funny saying i had a screw loose!! :O shocking haha! Always have a giggle at the hospital!

   So surgery number 2! Ahhhh! Well I've had the worst done, so this should be a walk in the park :)

Just got to wait for a surgery date......now on with exams revision!!!!!

Day 316 Upper Jaw pain!

   So today i phoned up the clinic to see if i could get an appointment tomorrow because the upper jaw pain i had before seems to becoming more frequent. My right side of my upper jaw seems to ache and cause some pain when i smile or even touch that part of my face. It might just be nothing, but I'm hopefully going to keep some assurance from the orthodontist tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Day 241- Orthodontist appointment!

Hi guys! Its been a long while!

    So today i had an orthodontists appointment, but i didn't get to see my normal orthodontist, because he was busy. I saw another lady who i have seen before i had surgery. She was amazed at the results and is quite chuffed! She asked me whether i have noticed any changes in my teeth, so i told her about my back teeth that i think are either subsiding from where my wisdom teeth were taken out, or the gap is just opening again at the back. She doesn't seem too concerned, but she said if the gap seems to get any worse or causes problems, the only way would be to put the braces back on for a short period of time.......brilliant! lol.

  She checked my retainer and was pleased it hadn't cracked or split, and said it was the cleanest she has ever seen :D Whoop whoop!

Next appointment should be around 3 months, but haven't been set a date yet.

We have had quite a bit of snowfall in the past week, thought id share my amazing attempt at pushing a trolley in it! LOL!

  I met a girl who i knew from school in the reception, and it turns out she needs the same surgery too! Bless her heart. Good luck Charlotte :)

Day 219- More official photos

  So i found so more photos from the hospital throughout the whole process. Some look terrible and painful, but i can honestly say it doesn't cause any pain.....just uncomfortable.
  Updating to the previous posts about the slight ache/pain I've been having must of been down to the cold......or talking too much haha, as its not so bad any more. Fingers crossed it stays that way. I did notice that on the same side on the roof of my mouth, one side feels cold in comparison to the other side all the time......weird. Have no idea why.....will find out. Anyway here are the shocking pictures, some have a few pictures missing as it just was not possible to do, from being so swollen and not being able to open my mouth more than 2mm.

Day 214- Next orthodontist appointment moved!

  My parents received a letter from the hospital saying that my appointment originally booked for the 2nd of February had been moved to the 10th of February! In a way it works out better for me as i have reading week the following week. The pain I've been having has calmed down slightly, but i think it might just be due to the cold.

   I've been bombarded with uni assignments so I'm sure that will keep me busy until the next appointment haha.

Day 208- Some slight pain!

   Today i went back to uni, Christmas went so incredibly fast!!!! Over the past few days i really have seemed to notice that on the right side of my jaw it sometimes aches or has a slight bit of pain. Not really sure what to think of it, but it seems to be the area here they removed one of my teeth over a year ago. Its shocking! Also, when i touch the roof of my mouth on the right side, i think its the nerve i can feel causing the weird sensation, but i just hope its not anything to do with the plates or screws in that area! I will definitely ask my orthodontist at my next appointment or sooner if it persists.

Day 202 - 2012 :)

Hey bloggers! Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fab Christmas! Bless you bloggers who underwent surgery in the days leading up to Christmas! Not going to lie, i couldn't imagine not being able to eat Christmas dinner! Wish you guys the best with recovery :D

    I been working ridiculous hours at Tesco before i go back to uni. Everyone I've seen even some people i don't even know tell me to keep smiling because i have a beautiful smile! Bless them!

   I think the nerve in the roof of my mouth is definitely staying numb lol. Everytime i brush my teeth, or tough my teeth with my tongue on my right side, it feels so weird, definitely not going to be easy to get used to haha.
